Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4th. After several postponements, Techland confirmed the title would land in the trash cans next month. To celebrate, the Polish teams will release a final episode of Dying 2 Know on January 13th, in which we will finally see the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game. the advertised lifespan of Dying Light 2: approx. 500 hours!
The developers’ ambition for Dying Light 2 has always been immense. Indeed, the studio has never hidden its desire to offer a great title with gigantic content in the heart of a vast and developing city. However, at a time when there is a lot of disappointment for gamers, we have always distanced ourselves from these claims. We know that there can be a world and a lot of disappointment between ambition and achievement.
However, a few weeks before testing and release, Techland confirms its words. The game’s official account actually shared an estimate of the time it would take to 100% complete Dying Light 2 and the numbers are pretty staggering. According to the studio, it will take roughly 500 hours to complete, or 20 days of playtime, 24 hours a day.

Of course, lifespan isn’t everything. In addition, such statistic affects a minimal fraction of gamers and could even frighten the common people. But rest assured, it will take a lot less time to complete the main Dying Light 2 adventure and its many side quests. A little less than 80 hours, if we still believe the official Twitter account. Still, that number of 500 hours is something to impress and undoubtedly testifies to Techland’s claim to be a big and rich world. But will it be coherent and interesting?
Story + side quests, if you’re not in a rush, should be around 70-80 hours
