Despite its age, South Park’s popularity has not diminished. Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s series actually shared new episodes in 2021 and announced a new game coming up. A title we don’t know anything about yet, not even the developer. But a recently published vacancy seems to lift the veil on the studio responsible for the project!
After the very good The Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole, many are hoping for a new role-playing game with Ubisoft. In order to find out what was behind this original project, however, one must wait for a presentation in an appropriate form. The only thing that is certain is that it will be a 3D game in which Question Games will take part with perspective multiplayer components.
The California-based studio is relatively unknown. Two indie games are currently under his belt: The Magic Circle 2015 and The Blackout Club 2019. However, the American teams should not be underestimated. In fact, several industry executives are the workforce who worked on Bioshock or Dishonored in particular and are currently expanding their teams for that production. It is also thanks to their recruits that we learn today that this should be a game that includes features for meeting friends.
If the announcement ultimately reveals only a few details about this next South Park, the profile you are looking for must therefore present some concrete experiences. So for the purposes of this post it is required to have previously worked on multiplayer games. A criterion that naturally guides our expectations.
When this new South Park is formalized in August 2021, it is expected to be several months before a presentation is made. There is no guarantee that Question Games will advance in the game’s development and we may not hear from the project for a few years. But as always we will keep you up to date with every update!
