SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated – Finally new gameplay with Europe voiceover!
Ooooh, who lives in an anas deep in the… Steam sale? This week it’s definitely SpongeBob SquarePants, specifically the remake of the 2003 released SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. The developers at Purple Lamp Studios have tweaked the graphics and brought the colorful Jump & Run into the modern age.
In terms of content and gameplay, however, there are hardly any changes: In the new edition, called Rehydrated, you run and jump through Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob and his friends like Patrick and Sandy and defend yourself against the villain Plankton. Either alone or in co-op mode, which is available both online and in split-screen.
In our test, SpongeBob’s remake adventure managed to convince, even if it can’t deny its origins in 2003:
