Activision has released a first update for Call of Duty: Vanguard and the Battle Royale spin-off Warzone Pacific in the new year 2022. The focus is on a cross-over with “Attack on Titan”.
The update also includes additional zombie content and a new operator. The latter is Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes, who completes Fireteam 006 Trident. It is the last operator before the end of Season 1.
Isabella was taught martial arts by her father when she was a little girl. After his death, she honed her skills with those who drove her into the local resistance. After the war, she joined Francis and Lewis with Trident to uncover Caldera’s mysteries. She acts as a melee specialist with exceptional aptitude for a new weapon in the Vanguard arsenal.
She can be unlocked by purchasing her Wild Rose Operator Bundle, which also includes two legendary weapon blueprints. Unlocking and maxing out all three members of Trident – Francis, Lewis, and Isabella – can unlock a special gold outfit for all three operators, as well as a platinum outfit if at least three other fireteams are level 20.
The update also brings with it the new SMG Welgun, Isabella’s weapon of choice. This gun’s base stats sit somewhere between the Owen SMG and the Sten. In multiplayer she can take out targets within an average range of effect with just four shots – or three if a vital area is hit. The available .380 and .25 ACP magazine attachments make it either a powerful three- or two-shot shooting machine or a more accurate weapon that fires faster.
As for Zombies mode, Treyarch wants to introduce endless classic gameplay for “Shi No Numa” in the new Void destination. These include four new tiers of artifact enhancements to the Tome of Rituals, three unique Pack-a-Punch camouflages, and more.
From January 20, 2022, new weapons and outfits (skins) for both titles will be added in the further course of Season 1. What they have in common is that they come from the popular anime series “Attack on Titan”. Call of Duty celebrates the final season of the series with the cross-over campaign. As part of this, Daniel Yatsu will don the legendary Scout Regiment gear.
You can also grab the “Tracer Pack: Attack on Titan – Levi Edition”, which includes the equipment of the death-defying titan hunters from the anime series. In addition to the new skin for Operator Daniel Yatsu, which is reminiscent of Levi Ackerman from “Attack on Titan”, there is also a blueprint for the legendary Titan Slasher sword. The DLC is rounded off by the MP Historia and the assault rifle Ymir’s Curse.
