For almost two years, SNK has been gradually releasing the catalog of its Neo-Geo Pocket Color on the Nintendo Switch eShop. After releasing a boxed version of the first Switch ports of these titles last summer, the Japanese publisher kicks off 2022 by offering a new title on Nintendo’s virtual store.
Another game from the Neo-Geo Pocket Color catalog has just arrived on the Nintendo Switch eShop. This title is SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter’s Clash was originally released in 1999.
On Switch, SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter’s Clash brings together the SNK and Capcom versions of the original Neo-Geo Pocket Color game. Back then SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter’s Clash worked like a Pokémon RPG. Maps were specific to one or the other of the two versions.
And it was possible to put and exchange cards with another owner of Neo-Geo Pocket Color. However, this Switch version does not allow you to connect two consoles and play together.
Two games in one
To make up for this deficiency somewhat, SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter’s Clash on Switch allows a player to trade between the versions of SNK and Capcom present in that port. As well as playing against his ghost.
