The best GTA 5 VR mod has gotten better.
When the first generation of VR headsets began to appear, tuners raced to get GTA 5 Working in VR. The results are usually unsatisfactory because the mod itself is just a simple hack.
This is now more pronounced than the game's campaign missions, which often feature cutscenes, complex character animations and other exclusive events. This interrupts your typical ordinary VR cracking.
Years later, Reddit user LukeRoss00 spent months perfecting a first-person VR model for a GTA 5 advertising campaign. The original goal was to make the Oculus Rift headset fit perfectly with the GTA 5 campaign task, and then transform it into a fully functional mod that lets you experience the entire game in VR from a first-person perspective.
More specifically, LukeRoss00 is committed to fixing FOV in cutscenes to minimize the number of animation glitches. Reddit users used the mod to play the entire game to ensure that it played properly under the different tasks and activities in it. Aiming has also been greatly improved, and installation instructions have been improved.
The latest version of the mod brings support for MSAA, which should provide sharper images for players with a powerful PC. The mod is designed for Rift and SteamVR headsets, and many in the review are happy with its use with Vive and other headsets.
