After Forza Horizon 5 was released in November with some minor and major technical problems, publisher Microsoft and developer Playground Games have already fixed many of the biggest problems – but not all of them.
Lately it had become pretty quiet, also because of the holidays. Now Playground Games is reporting with a new one Community-Update back and call five current criticisms, which should be fixed with the next patches.
What the next patch aims to improve and fix
#1: Awards
Many players have been struggling with the fact that certain awards do not want to be unlocked since the release. Some players even have the problem that awards that have already been unlocked are reset. These problems should now be fixed. In addition, Playground Games wants to clarify the descriptions, which can be misleading for some awards.
#2: EventLab
The track editor has recently been improved so that you can save your projects as you create them. Now the possibility should follow to be able to edit his routes again after the publication.
You can see a nice example of a track that can be built with the EventLab in the following article:

#3: Festival-Playlist
The festival playlist is one of the most important features of the game after completing the story, because daily and weekly tasks await you here, which provide variety and also provide cool rewards. However, there were always problems with the challenges, because occasionally they were bugged and just couldn’t be completed – for example in the case of the treasure chest from series 2.
Playground Games wants to be more careful here in the future. In addition, the rewards for older challenges that could not be completed should be handed in later. However, these are only available if you have successfully completed all other tasks of the respective series.
#4: Steering Wheels
If you play on the PC with a steering wheel as an input device, you can encounter numerous problems. Crashes, missing wheel mapping or non-functioning force feedback are just some of the problems that are currently occurring. However, the bugs that can occur with steering rims from the manufacturers Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec should soon be a thing of the past.
#5: Leaderboards
After the ranked mode for multiplayer races was canceled with Forza Horizon 5, players now compete in various leaderboards. However, there are always cheaters here who, for example, can show impossibly long jumps in PR stunts by increasing the speed of their cars with a hack.
According to the developers, they are currently working on cleaning the high scores from fraudsters and introducing new security measures. However, it should be more of a long-term undertaking, so that the cheaters will probably continue to dominate the various leaderboards for the time being.
