Some time ago, the tactical role-playing game King Arthur: Knight’s Tale was announced for February, but nothing will come of it in the short term: the release had to be postponed again.
NeocoreGames announced today that the February 15, 2022 release date of King Arthur: Knight’s Tale on PC cannot be met. Instead, the developers are now allowing themselves a few more weeks to bring the game to Steam. March 29, 2022 was also mentioned as the new date.
Even if the postponement by a few weeks is quite manageable, NeocoreGames is convinced that this additional time gained will do the entire development good and provide the necessary fine-tuning to deliver the best possible game version at the start.
The turn-based tactics game is currently available in Early Access on Steam. In this still edited version of the game, you can experience the entire first act of the campaign. The rest of the campaign and endgame mode will be added in the final version.
The planned console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are also without a specific release date; these should follow “at a later date”, it is only said in this regard from the official side.
King Arthur: Knight’s Tale takes place in a dark fantasy world and takes up the Arthurian myth. The title is a mix of tactical and role-playing game and starts with a twist right after the famous Battle of Camlann. You start as a former black knight of dark tales: Sir Mordred, King Arthur’s archenemy. With his last breath, King Arthur struck down Sir Mordred and both died – and yet somehow survived. It is now up to you to fulfill the wish of the Lady of the Lake, the ruler of the mystical island of Avalon, and end this true nightmare.
