This beginning of 2022 will have been the opportunity to discover some nice news in terms of graphics cards on the Nvidia side. A GeForce RTX 3050, a GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB and a GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. To complete the picture, the middle class is of course missing, namely the RTX 3070. According to the first rumors from 2021, a 3070 Ti should be available on January 11, 2022 16 GB model appear. It really wasn’t.
The Nvidia card is very shy
However, partner manufacturers Gigabyte and Asus only recently registered several models with the EEC, the Eurasian Economic Community. If this isn’t always a sign of an orderly exit, seeing two major players doing the same thing is enough to arouse suspicion.
The only technical novelty compared to the classic RTX 3070 Ti would be the presence of the famous 16GB of GDDR6X, double what is currently on offer. It would still carry 6144 CUDA cores, but its extra amount of VRAM would visibly increase power consumption.
The increased VRAM would provide improved performance for games and titles that use high-resolution textures. For now, of course, it’s not a matter of announcing a price or a release date, but we can certainly expect the beauty to show her nose and circuits in the first quarter of 2022. .
