The tablet market continues to decline. If late last year we told you that tomorrow's tablet market doesn't look good even for brands like Apple, time seems to have shown us right.
With larger and larger phones, many users feel that getting a tablet is no longer important. To this we must add that Android is not the most suitable operating system for these types of products, especially due to its lack of selection and complete apathy for Google, which has completely abandoned the tablet market.
The sales plummet for the tablet, though there are still survivors
According to a recent IDC report, tablet sales are complete in the last quarter of 2019, about 0.6% has a value of 43.5 million units.
Of course Apple consumers and their iPad are very reliable. Curertino's company remains unaffected by the market for years, as it managed to sell 15% more units than in 2018. Other brands like Samsung, Huawei or Lenovo fail to maintain good numbers and end the year with negative numbers.
The curious case comes from the Amazon tablets. It's also cheaper with its own operating system, or based on Android, they are able to maintain a good sales ratio, which puts the world's richest man company, whose phone has been leaked via WhatsApp messages, which is in fourth place.
All of this should make us reflect. Is it worth buying a tablet by 2020? Should Android completely leave the market? Is wrapping phones a replacement for tablets? We'll have to see how the tablet market unfolds during this time of 2020 to get some rational conclusions, but what is clear is that if the demand is that the Android tablets do not die, you might want to consider a major upgrade of these devices.
