We are starting a new year and with it, new resolutions. Many people may have started this New Year to meet new people or open up to finding people they can share fun times with or even nurture a relationship with.
So those with that goal, you’ll need to get down to business, and a good way to do that is through apps like Tinder (although there are plenty of other dating app options available).
In addition, since 2020, coinciding with the start of the pandemic, Tinder has allowed you to make video calls with your matches on the social network.

How to Make a Video Call on Tinder
Now you have been using Tinder for a while and you have this match who you started talking to and would like to achieve something more. In that case, video chat might be a good way to start forging that connection you want so badly.
And if it doesn’t exist yet matchDon’t worry, you just need to spend more time on the dating app. Start swiping, left, left, right, right, until the one you want appears match.
- Go to the App Store or Google Play and make sure the latest version of the app is installed.
- Open the app and navigate to the section of your matches via the speech bubble icon at the top of the screen.
- Under ‘New Couples’ or ‘Messages’, tap the person you want to video call with.
- Tap the video call icon in the top right of the screen, which looks like a video camera.
- In the window that appears, press the key to say that you are interested in a Head to Head and press ‘Done’.
- Now you need to ask your match
- Once they have also indicated their interest, a message will appear stating that Head to Head has been unlocked.
- Tap the icon and you’ll be prompted to agree to some ground rules.
- Preview what the other person will see, then tap “Call”.
- As with many video calling apps, simply tap the red “End” button at any time to end the call.
- At the end of the call, you will be asked to give your opinion on the possibility of doing Face to Face again. Don’t worry, it won’t be shared with your match.
