Rocket League Players will soon see the origin of a new in-game event. Neon night, which will appear in the game on JJanuary 26, which will allow players to unlock a range of event-exclusive cosmetic items. You have to be fast though as it will be phased out in the game February 8.
The theme for this limited-time event is GRIMES – the electro-pop artist who collaborated with Psyonix on Neon Nights. As such, all unlockables that appear are artist-themed – making it a must-attend event. These include “Player of Games” and “Shinigami Eyes” player anthems, GRIMES-themed leaderboards, and more.
In addition to this event, the chaotic Heatseeker bounce mode will return. In this mode, every shot flies towards the opposing team’s goal. On top of that, by continuing to hit the ball without a goal, the speed of the ball significantly increases the speed of the ball. These combinations result in a tense game that is unlike anything else in Rocket League at the moment.
During the event, players can also get a golden moon. These can be exchanged for items in the Impact, Nitro and Overdrive Item collections. In addition, the Neon Night event runs concurrently with the Lunar New Year celebrations. This means you’ll be able to redeem the Year of the Tiger bundle for free, which includes the TIny Tiger Topper and Tyger decals.
