Dreams are used for the first time in a feature film

There’s no shortage of creative projects from Media Molecule dreams. The all-in-one game creation software has enabled developers to create everything from a children’s puppet theater to shockingly realistic renderings of delicious breakfasts. Now, however, even these performances seem to have been improved once again. An upcoming film from Sony Pictures Classics called A winter trip

will use dreams to create his world.

A winter trip takes place in Bavaria (the south-eastern part of present-day Germany) in 1812. The film tells the story of a poet who embarks on a perilous journey across mountains, ice and snow. As it turns out, this tundra-infested world is built in dreams

. According to one publication, the film “seamlessly blends live action with CG and painted animation.”

The film is being produced by London studio Oiffy and BreakThru Films (Netflix’s reverse deer

). Alex Helfrecht, who has already worked as a producer, is directing The White King. Hugh Welchman, who directed dear vincent, will continue as producer A winter trip. dear vincent presented a visually stunning glimpse into the life of Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, inspired by the artist’s artistic style. Audiences will have to wait and see how this team handles usage dreams in his next big project.
