You could say that there are over a thousand ways for Link to die in Breath of the Wild, and we wouldn’t be exaggerating. Once our life bar runs out, unless we have fairies or the help of Mipha: it’s game over. That is why today we would like to review some of the most entertaining and unusual deaths that poor Link can suffer throughout his adventure.
Cuckoo’s Revenge
Undoubtedly, one of the most iconic game overs in the world of video games and a trend in the franchise: being annihilated by the cuckoos
The flying Bokoblins
If a Moblin is without weapons and is short of resources… most likely choose to throw a Bokoblin at your face in a very comical way. The Bokoblin will take damage in the process, but if it hits Link, it can take a lot of damage, especially if there are any explosive barrels in your immediate vicinity. Be careful, you don’t want to be victims of a “winged” Bokoblin.
Crush by amiibo
Incredible but true. Generally, it’s best to use amiibo from a distance, but with enough bad luck, Link can end up buried under the chests you’ve summoned yourself.
Drained by the Master Sword
Possibly it has happened to more than one of you here: finding the Master Sword and trying to get it out without having enough life. Without at least 13 hearts, the Great Deku Tree will stop you the first time, but if you insist, your life will be drained by the sword, causing the game over.
The Gorons don’t mess around with little girls
Much like cuckoos, if you annoy some Goron enough, they will retaliate. They won’t decrease Link’s health, but if you find yourself near a cliff… you might roll into a game over. We’re sure it wasn’t their intention, but it’s our fault for not leaving these poor rock citizens alone…
And you? What is the craziest death that has happened to you in your game of Breath of the Wild? We read you in the comments!
