This week phones from Samsung and Oppo were treated to Android 12. Huawei, on the other hand, has rolled out a major update for the Watch GT 3 and OnePlus has stopped supporting two popular cell phones. Huawei
Huawei has been distributing a major update for the Watch GT 3 since this week. This includes many bug fixes and improvements. The firmware has a size of 293 megabytes. The update is currently only available in China.
Samsung
Samsung is distributing Android 12 to more smartphones. This week, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 received the update. The One UI 4.0 user interface is also on board. You should get an improved picture-in-picture mode, the Material You theme and the privacy dashboard of Android 12.
The Galaxy A42 was also given Android 12 and One UI 4.0 this week. The update is currently only available in Poland. Again, you get the Material You theme, as well as the privacy dashboard and privacy indicators.
Oppo
Oppo is also starting to distribute Android 12 and ColorOS 12. The A74 5G is currently receiving the update. The update is also available in Europe.
OnePlus
OnePlus is currently distributing a final update to the OnePlus 6 and 6T. After that it’s over, the cell phones will no longer be considered for updates. The only way to keep using the latest Android versions on the smartphones is with a custom ROM like LineageOS.
Google
Google is now distributing the second beta of Android 12L. This is mainly intended to fix annoying bugs. The update is available for download for Pixel series phones starting with the Pixel 3a. If you’re using the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro, you’ll have to wait a little longer.
A leak of Android 13 has appeared on the Internet. The new operating system should offer four new themes.
