Is cuddly PlayStation icon Sackboy returning in a new adventure? In any case, the signs of a new LittleBigPlanet could increase!
A new job posting from developer Sumo Games suggests that LittleBigPlanet 4, or at least another spin- off of the hit PlayStation series, could be in the works. The last main part of the series is now more than seven years ago, but in November 2020 Sackboy: A Big Adventure was at least a series offshoot – but without the possibility of creating your own level.
But if you’re waiting for a real new LittleBigPlanet, you might have reason to hope again. Sumo Digital is currently looking for an experienced level designer. While the franchise isn’t named, it says it will work for an “experienced and passionate team delivering an exciting AAA title.” This AAA title belongs to “an already established franchise that has sold millions of copies”.
This description makes many fans assume and also hope that it is in fact a new LittleBigPlanet, but of course there is still no official confirmation. Accordingly, you should also treat the rumor with the necessary caution.
