Hello Games, the studio behind No Man’s Sky, has released an update for its debut title Joe Danger and its 2014 sequel Joe danger infinity. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original game, both games have been made playable online for free.
Self-published in 2010, the side-scrolling platformer revolves around a comical daredevil driver. It laid the groundwork for two subsequent sequels (2012 Joe Danger 2: The Movie
“It was always a secret shame on our part that the success of Nobody’s heaven Left Joe Danger unloved,” Murray told Polygon via email. “Joe holds a special place in our hearts. It was our first game when there were four of us sitting in a shed trying to attract attention. Joe helped our studio get started and grow as a business, but it’s also where we learned to make games.”
Hello Games has been working on the remasters for the past two years Joe Danger and Joe danger infinity, rebuilt the game for over eight years with changes made by the Unity Engine and added several new features. The 1.3 update for Joe Danger features a graphical overhaul with improved graphics, higher frame rate, and gamepad and ProMotion support.
Previous owners of both Joe Danger and Joe danger infinity get the update for free. For those unfamiliar and curious about Hello Games’ debut title, there’s no better time to give the series a shot.
