The series will have 8 episodes which will be broadcast between March and April!
Some time ago, Apple TV + announced the premiere of several international series that, step by step, swelled its catalog. To the content available in this genre, will be added the long-awaited Korean series “Pachinko”, the premiere of which is scheduled for March 25, 2022.
Along with the confirmation of its release date, Apple also shared that ‘Pachinko’ will be narrated in three languages, Korean, Japanese and English and will take place over eight episodes. The first three episodes will be available from day one and the remaining five will air weekly until it ends on April 29, 2022.
Apple TV+ launches its first Korean series
Since the confirmation of the project, the plot has been announced with much anticipation. And in theory it fulfills all the elements to conquer the spectators. The story begins with a forbidden love and culminates in a vast saga that travels between Korea, Japan and the United States to tell an unforgettable story of war and peace, love and loss, triumph and judgment.
Series stars Asian talent Soji Arai as Mozasu, Jin Ha as Solomon, Inji Jeong as Yangjin, Minha Kim as Teenager Sunja, Lee Minho as Hansu, Kaho Minami as Etsuko, Steve Sanghyun Noh as Isak, Anna Sawai as Naomi, Junwoo Han as Yoseb, Jung Eun-chae as Young Kyunghee, Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews, Yu-na Jeon as Young Sunja, and Academy Award-winning actress Youn Yuh Jung as Older Sunja.
In charge of “Pachinko” is the writer and producer of “The Terror”, “The Killing”, Soo Hugh. For their part, Kogonada and Justin Chon are part of the executive production team and have directed four episodes each, with Kogonada directing the pilot.
With “Pachinko”, Apple TV+ will have the opportunity to reach fans of Korean series, the plots of which tend to become real hits, as products from other platforms have already shown.
