Yes, that's ripe star Wars the observations that took place last week were real. No, it's not what you think it was.
Last week, the media is finding their way online what was thought to be the result of a lost, additional habit star Wars A TV show. The show, which never had an official title, was it is often called its working title: Star Wars Underworld. It was the work that George Lucas and others worked on between 2005 and 2012, it was said about them About 50 texts have been written by the likes of Ronald D. Moore and others. Years ago, the Internet you have reported on this show many times but, until last week, we haven't seen anything. After that the clip became available.
10thThe minute clip, shot in 2010, is divided into two parts. The first five minutes show the spy trying to pull a plot against the State with spectacular results and production value. That is followed by five minutes of background image clip made.
And in the season below YouTube embedding new, footage — installed in California—based on company results Stargate Studios—It was open company Vimeo for nine years, even though it was removed a few days ago. So, what is the story?
A source close to the project told io9 that the actual media but not what the final series would look like – it was proof of concept. Because the show is too expensive to make, producer Rick McCallum hired Stargate to shoot the testage (not at all (Hollywood) Lucasfilm can then deliver on TV networks. Lucasfilm had no comment on the manuscript or this story and we had never heard from McCallum or his production company at the time of publication.
The hope was that the footage would get one of the networks interested and started to become corruptd agree to collaborate on the project. So what you see here Stargate was made after being hired by Lucasfilm. It is real, but not the final representation of the show, only a test. Where the story came from, our source did not say. It's either McCallum giving Stargate a bad idea or the studio is just doing something on their own.
The point of the picture below was not the story, though; it was a transfer of tone, technology and organization. It would have made it clear that the series was set on the streets of Coruscant (much as we saw it Attack Of The Clones) and strongly influenced by Blade Runner in beauty. It was intended to follow a criminal family dominating the lower Coruscant, the same kind The Goddess either The Soprano, and Lucasfilm wanted the footage to reflect the progress it had made because of prequels.
Obviously, the networks have responded well to the broadcast but, for some unknown reason, eventually pass on it. Guess you learned might be money (Game of Thrones and Walking Dead we were young at this time, so spending millions of dollars on each piece in the genre was rare at the moment), however because this was years before it was led by Disney star Wars to resume, a perceived lack of interest can be a factor as well.
We just know for sure that Lucasfilm hired Stargate to do something the networks might be interested in, they couldn't, so the show died on the vine. But this has been the footage of Lucasfilm really being used to trying to get it on the air. McCallum, Lucas, and others knew so little that about ten years later, all they wanted to do would be possible without their involvement. A live action star Wars A TV show about underwater characters, with big budget and big virtual sets? It's called Counterfeit.
YouTube embedding of this installation also links to Google Docs full of rumors and potential information about the series. It's a fun read if you're inclined.
