One of the most controversial changes came with the launch theater pacific – Removed purchasable loadout drops in the initial stages of the game – Changed in the latest Warzone patch. Now, players can get their dirty hands on their favorite guns as soon as they get funding.
The change comes after months of pleas from a core part of the Warzone community. Content creators in particular have been the main driver of the way this change is back on Verdansk, with streamer Faze Swaag promising to tattoo the Raven Software logo if that happens (we’ll get to that later).
The initial change to the loadout was to level out Caldera’s playing field, forcing players to engage in firefights with weapons they found on the island until the first gas circle was fully stabilized. This forces players to use the new weapons that Vanguard has added, and does make it easier for players to deal with enemies without worrying about what pesky meta guns they have.
The downside to this is how it affects skilled players. In previous iterations of Warzone, early loading packs were rewards for effective looting or multiple kills in the first few minutes of a match. On Caldera, these players see no reason to go out and rule the lobby early, as they end up with the same gear as players who spend their time playing conservative games.
With the changes we see these players celebrate exist Lots of on social media. Mr. Swagger, mentioned at the beginning of this article, even delivered on his promise, and you can see it in all its glory below.
How do you see this change? Are you relieved now that loads are easier to pick up? Or are you concerned about how this will affect the more casual part of the player base? Let us know below!
