Music is part of our lives and Apple knows it’s a great place to invest, innovate and create. Launching his own music streaming service was just the start of his entry into the world of music. Then came the AirPods in all their forms and soon after came the spatial audio and lossless audio integration that Apple integrates into all of its services. Silver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and Beats, assured in an interview that more than half of Apple Music listeners and subscribers use the Spatial Audio feature.
Half of Apple Music listeners use spatial audio
Spatial audio is a technology of surround sound which allows the user to feel immersive experiences of multimedia content. Not just movies and series, but music can also be heard with this spatial audio as long as it has been recorded or adapted to this format. Spatial Audio arrived in the Apple Music catalog in June 2021 and has since more than 70 million songs are supported by the feature.

In an interview with Vice President of Apple Music and Beats, Silver Schusser, he assured that more than half of Apple Music subscribers
We now have more than half of our worldwide Apple Music subscriber base listening to spatial audio, and that number is growing very, very quickly. We wish the numbers were higher, but they definitely exceeded our expectations.
It is not the same with Lossless or lossless audio. This is another feature available in Apple Music. Consists of the lossless audio compression or Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC).

The problem with Loseless is that does not support Bluetooth connections. That is, the maximum compression and maximum sound quality cannot be achieved with AirPods or Beats and it is necessary a wired connection to the device’s headphones, receivers, speakers, or built-in speakers. This is why the usage level of LosseLess is not so high especially due to the increase in the usage of Bluetooth speakers including AirPods in society.
