In January 2021, Daedalic brought French publisher Nacon on board for the development of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The years as Bigben Interactive well-known publisher is also known for the production of peripherals in addition to games such as Vampire: The Masquerade and WRC 9.

Now the French publisher has even bought all shares in the Europe game developer for a whopping 53 million dollars. Carsten Fichtelmann, founder and managing director of Daedalic, and COO Stephan Harms will continue to be in charge.

A statement by CEO Fichtelmann (via GamesWirtschaft) out:

After years of change, I look back with pride on the past 15 years and the development of the company. Daedalic Entertainment has established itself as a publisher and developer of extraordinary games, which is at home in many genres and on all relevant platforms worldwide. Together with Nacon we are now taking the next step to expand the games catalog with our own titles plus fantastic games from indie studios. We work together in trust and cooperation at The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and look forward to an even more promising future together.

Daedelic has not only made a name for itself in this country and belongs because of titles like landfill and Shadow Tactics are among the best-known Europe game developers and publishers. With the title The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which is scheduled for release in 2022, Daedelic is releasing its most ambitious game to date.
