SpellForce 3: Reforced: Console date postponed again

Console, date, postponed, Reforced, SpellForce

The console version of SpellForce 3: Reforced is still ill-fated. After the release didn’t work out last year, the makers announced the next postponement today.

A press release from publisher THQ Nordic and developer Grimlore Games today said that “development of the console version of SpellForce 3: Reforced will take a little more time”. The result: After the release fell through in 2021, the last communicated March 8, 2022 will now come to nothing.

Unfortunately, the delay is quite noticeable, because June 7, 2022 was a new release date for consoles, which is a full three months later. However, the goal has been set to publish the best possible gaming experience on consoles and the mix of real-time strategy and role-playing game is therefore given the necessary development time.

SpellForce 3: Reforced is planned for Xbox One and PS4 and will cost around 39.99 dollars here; these game versions will then also be compatible with Xbox Series X/S and PS5. In addition to the actual base game, the expansions “Soul Harvest” and “Fallen God” are also available directly, each of which includes a single-player campaign with around 30 hours of playtime as well as new units and other features. If you do not want to purchase these separately for 19.99 dollars each, you can also access a Complete Edition for 59.99 dollars.
