Copyright infringement issue affects Google Drive users on macOS!
In recent days, several MacOS users have agreed on sharing a bug in DS_Store files from Google Drive. Although Finder tries to hide the file as much as possible, it may appear in cloud storage services when directories are downloaded or when using other operating systems such as Windows to browse a folder , depending on the hidden file settings configured.

According to Bleeping Computer, the problem is likely caused by a hash match between the .DS_Store files and those of known copyrighted content, which could lead to the infringement notice. In that regard, a Google spokesperson said they fixed the issue in January that “affected a small number of Drive files,” including fixing incorrect markup and taking steps to prevent it from happening again.
