Nintendo has expanded its operations in Southeast Asia with the launch of two new regional websites.
Malaysia and the Philippines now have their own official Nintendo sites, which join the Thai-language Nintendo website and official online store that launched late last year. Nintendo also launched a Singaporean website last year, which shows how serious the company is about servicing the needs of its Southeast Asian customers.
However, it is unclear at this time if Nintendo will build on this move by launching the Nintendo eShop in these regions.
Speaking to IGN about the news, a Nintendo spokesperson said:
We are pleased to provide various information about Nintendo, including Nintendo Switch console, game software, and characters from Nintendo game series to the Southeast Asia region.
Nintendo has also recently launched an official Nintendo Southeast Asia YouTube channel and Facebook page.
