Apple released the fourth version beta of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4, as well as tvOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5 and macOS 12.3. An update that, after the number of changes we saw in the first version, then in the second and then in the third, should focus on improving new features rather than adding new features.
An update full of new features
After iOS 15.2 brought us a long list of changes and iOS 15.3 mainly focused on performance improvements and bug fixes, it’s news time again. In the first iOS 15.4 beta, we saw some big changes, such as the arrival of Universal Control, the ability to use Face ID with a mask, new emoji, keychain changes and more .
In the second beta, Apple added even more new features, mainly Tap to Pay, which will allow us to receive payments on our iPhone through the NFC chip, and adjustments to the unlock via Face ID with mask
While on Mac the main novelty is the arrival of Universal Control, the system that allows us to control an iPad from the Mac keyboard and vice versa. A system that works really well, especially in the second beta, but that still in development and still needs some tweaking
If we want to enter the beta cycle we can do it following these steps, but we must bear in mind that we are talking about development versions with bugs.
Already in the beta cycle we will find the update in the app Settings as OTA update. For the first few hours, Apple servers may receive more requests than usual, so waiting time may be longer.
