an integrated twitch Live streaming is now available on Xbox consoles.
According to Microsoft, streaming is now easier because you can access Twitch directly from the Xbox Guide and manage your settings in a few easy steps.
On your Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One console, navigate to the Capture and Share tab on the guide and select Live Stream. You will need to link your Twitch account by scanning the QR code with your iOS or Android mobile device or navigating to the URL with your PC or mobile device. After linking your accounts, select the “Go Live Now” button to go live immediately and start streaming live games downloaded to your console.
You’ll then plug in your webcam and headphones, then set your show title, and from the options panel, you can manage game and mic audio levels, including party chat and manually set your resolution and bitrate. You can also swap games midway through, and a pause screen will appear when you’re not in the game. Your console will also automatically update the games you play on Twitch.
People can watch your stream on whatever device they use to access Twitch, and on Xbox, people who follow you can choose to be notified when you go live. To enable this feature, navigate to Xbox Notifications in Preferences and adjust your livestreaming settings.
It sounds easy.
Back in October, Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring were able to test out the system update, which included integrated Twitch live streaming.
Twitch started out as part of the Xbox One dashboard and used the Snap feature, allowing users to stream directly to the service. About five years ago, Microsoft removed the Snap feature and Twitch integration, so the only way to stream with Twitch was through the app.
