In the midst of the severe crisis in Ukraine are both individuals and businesses. One of the many, closely affecting the Apple world, is MacPaw, developers of the popular app subscription service SetApp. A company which, having foreseen the situation, is already prepared, even if he is going through difficult times.
Tension in the company, but peace of mind for the users
In a press release issued by MacPaw, the company recalls that its is a founded and operating mainly from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. As the tension escalated, the company prepared and now that Russia has begun the invasion, MacPaw founder and CEO Oleksandr Kosovan has released an official statement explaining the situation.
“As human beings of the 21st century, we all wish the tragic days of war were a thing of the past. However, once again, with Russian aggression against Ukraine, we have witnessed the ease with which which freedom, independence and the human right to life and choice.
“MacPaw was founded and operates primarily in Kyiv, Ukraine. For us, the safety of our team members is paramount. We have prepared various assistance programs and launched a contingency plan to ensure the safety of our colleagues based in Ukraine”.
The statement goes on to explain that they have ensured that their products and software, which include among others the famous CleanMyMac, they will have no interruption in support or development. All of MacPaw’s infrastructure is hosted securely on Amazon Web Services servers, and the server cloud is physically located outside of Ukraine.
The Kosovan affirms that “at this time, we remain strong, united and ready to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, while recalling that Paddle, the commercial partner which takes care of the payment processing operates from the UKit will therefore not be affected by this crisis.
