Gaming News Fallout: Microsoft (Xbox) would be negotiating the development of a new work, not just any!

Ten years after the publication of failure 2a C-RPG developed by Black Isle Studios, it is Bethesda Softworks that takes up the torch with a third numbered episode set several decades, three to be exact, after the events of the second part. In the meantime, if we have to wait another seven years to see the main saga expand with a new episode, the license ends up in the hands of Obsidian Entertainment, who are developing a derivative series called New Vegas and will be published by Bethesda.
A success for the Obsidian Entertainment studio that we quickly understand given his DNA Stand out runs through the studio’s veins: its CEO is none other than Feargus Urquhart, the man behind the production of the first two numbered episodes of the licence! Very quickly considered a classic for players, the teams then sketch out a second part of New Vegas, only that nothing succeeds. But we have to believe that mischievous fate would have decided otherwise, according to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb.
A sequel to New Vegas in the next few years?

Fallout: New Vegas are in this category! On that subject, Jeff Grubb states that a sequel at Microsoft would actually be “in a very good way”.
It’s very early days but people have started having conversations and in those conversations they’re talking about certain words, and those words are “Obsidian” and “New Vegas 2.”
We are talking about a project for the coming years. There is at least interest and conversation to make those discussions a reality.
A lot of people at Microsoft think it might work, and there’s a lot of excitement about producing something like this.
Another even more gratifying element surrounding this announcement: According to the journalist from VentureBeat, it is in fact the studio responsible for the original worknamely above mentioned Obsidian Entertainment, that would bring the sequel to this cult-classic RPG to life, now that Bethesda and Obsidian are under one roofthat of Microsoft, thanks to the successive acquisitions of the two companies in 2018 and 2021.
Feargus Urquhart has been dreaming of a sequel to the franchise for a number of years. The latter was already thinking about the basics of the project in 2013 and shared some ideas that Fallout: New Vegas 2 could introduce. While the project isn’t yet a reality, Microsoft and the companies seem to have reached an agreement to give the New Vegas franchise the revival it deserves.
