There will be 6 reactions: like, love, laugh, surprise, sad and please-thank you. These will be the same for both platforms and it is not yet known if WhatsApp will implement a default reaction like the “like” on Facebook or the “like” or the “heart” on Instagram.

In order to view the reactions received on Mac, the user will have to review the “all” tab in the message or review them from the same reactions icon next to the message. Just as it should be done on mobile.

The official release date is still unknown, for now only preview is available for users belonging to the Beta program of the application. However, as it is already under development it should arrive very soon.
