everywhere, you see Eldon RingThat’s not surprising, really, since From Software’s new game releases are now an international event, thanks to years of high-quality releases and countless fans watching them forever.
Soon, once you’re logged out, you can’t even escape the Elden Ring; it’ll follow you. The guy on the bus, where? He’s playing Elden Ring. Is your boss in the office? Eldon Ring. The little old lady at the bus stop? You guessed it, Elden Ring.
As it turns out, the game works entirely on Steam Deck. Shortly before the game’s release, the game was listed as “Verified” in the iGamesNews team member library on Steam.
“Valve’s testing shows that Elden Ring has been validated on the Steam platform,” says the Steam Compatibility Check flyer that came with the game. “The game is fully functional on the Steam platform and works well with the built-in controls and display.”
In short, this means that the game has no compatibility issues on the Steam platform and can run at 1280×800 or 1280×720 resolution without any issues. Elden Ring on the Steam Deck also has the necessary controller input icons and UI.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Steam Deck version of the game will suffer from the stuttering and asset streaming issues that the PC version has.
