That Valve has a problem with number 3 is not lost on anyone and there are many memes about it, so we will never see Half-Life 3 either Portal 3. But that doesn’t mean there can’t be spin-offs. There is the outstanding Half-Life: Alyx in Virtual Reality, without going any further. Or very soon this Open Desk Job within the Portal universe
The perfect excuse has to do with the launch of Steam Deck, Valve’s long-awaited portable “console”, although it won’t be an exclusive game for this system, but anyone with a Steam account will be able to download and enjoy it at no additional cost. Of course, as Valve says in its file, It’s not Portal 3!
Aperture Desk Job is rather a “playable short” created in mind for Steam Deck and that is simply set in the Portal universe, one of the First-Person Puzzler most revolutionary in the video game industry and a delight for cake lovers. Or maybe this last one is a lie, I don’t know.
The fact is that this game “reimagines the genre of walking simulators” in the way that only Valve knows how to do, even if the premise of being “sitting and working” does not seem attractive at first… Because we are totally convinced that it will be a fun experience with surprises inside. And when will the game come out? It will be free to download on March 1..
