Elden Ring is officially available tomorrow, February 25th, marking the end of a long wait for one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. In line with the release, From Software has also released a first update.
Ever since the game went gold, From Software hasn’t been lazy about it, continuing to work on optimizing Elden Ring. That’s why there is a day-one update right on time for the release – as is almost usual these days.
The patch, about which information has now been published on the official website, has the version number 1.02 and will be available to first-time buyers from tomorrow. As expected, the patch primarily focuses on further improving the stability of the game.
In addition to stability improvements, control optimizations and balancing adjustments are also on board. Also fixed issues with frame rate drops and a bug that caused missing background music. And: A bug that prevented the use of the Xbox Wireless Headset is a thing of the past thanks to the patch.
Publisher Bandai Namco appeals to players to actually install the patch before playing. At the same time, it is emphasized that an update will be submitted in a timely manner, which will expand Elden Ring with ray tracing options. There is no specific release date for this yet.
