Instagram is one of the biggest social networks of the moment. Billions of users are posting, posting stories or just entertaining themselves by browsing videos and images around the app. However, iPad users do not yet have a native application adapted to their screen. They only have the iPhone app with the ability to increase its size, but not completely accessible. Today’s Instagram story comes from a Twitter conversation started by Marques Brownlee, the director of the MKBHD podcast, in which he comments that in 2022, Instagram still doesn’t have a native app for the iPad. Faced with this message, Instagram boss Adam Mosseri intervenes, assuring that is not Instagram’s priority at the moment due to the low volume of users it would satisfy:
Yes, we get this one a lot. It’s still not a large enough group of people to be a priority. Hoping to get there at some point, but right now we’re very focused on other things.

Although Mosseri’s argument is true, Brownlee replies that In the hypothetical case where there is a native application, this volume of users would increase. However, the Instagram manager assured that other markets are much more powerful and productive, talking about numbers like Android, the web itself or iOS. So, it’s clear there won’t be a native iPad app anytime soon.
This new episode is consistent with Mosseri’s speech on previous occasions when he assured that there are few staff and lack of volume consider working on this aspect. Therefore, iPad users who want to enjoy their Instagram feed will have to do so through the web version for now.
