The Segway-Ninebot company has just announced excellent news regarding its urban mobility strategy, with the launch of a new D series of economical electric scooters with which it intends to revolutionize urban travel.
Specifically, there are three new models that vary from each other in their specs and superior performance. These were accompanied by two new P-series models and a new GT line aimed at riders looking for extreme experiences.
How much does the new Segway-Ninebot D-Series scooter cost?
As we have already mentioned, the brand’s new D series of scooters is positioned as the brand’s cheapest, and consists of the following three models: Ninebot D18, D28 and D38.
Segway maintains its strategy of using simple names for its electric scooters to make them easily identifiable. All of them are equipped with 10-inch non-slip tires that guarantee greater safety during filming.
This range, which is available in red tones, although it is the most economical, also has a double braking system (front and rear), as well as an engine which, according to the brand, by using it a hour per day, the scooter should offer a life cycle of more than 8 years.
Their speeds can reach 38 km/h, although the company maintains the speed limit for each model, following the laws imposed by each country to allow traffic on the streets.
These are the prices of the new D serieswhich will be available for sale mid-March in the main European countries.
- Segway-Ninebot D18E – 359 $
- Segway-Ninebot D28E – 439 $
- Segway-Ninebot D38E – 509 $
Thus, they position themselves as the entry-level models of the brand, in order to allow all those more or less young users who decide to introduce this urban mobility device for their daily trips to buy.
The company also talked about a Zing C15E model designed for the little ones in the house. Replaces current model Zing C10 of $ 199, and although we do not have details on availability and price, it is likely that the current one will be maintained.
What other new features are coming to Segway-Ninebot electric scooters?
Not only the novelties reach the lowest range. The company has also strengthened other product families, which we discuss below:
Segway-Ninebot P-Series
Within the P series, the most professional of the brand, there are now two new models, the P65E and the P100SE, both equipped with a USB C connector to be able to recharge the mobile.
Another set of extras in the P range is the ambient driving light integrated under the handlebars, as well as the suspension system introduced in the wheels. In turn, the tires provide greater to input for traffic in harsh environments.
Their prices in dollars have not been revealed for the moment, but you can get an idea if you look at the rest of the models in the family, which are around 700 $. Its marketing in Europe will have to wait until the third or fourth quarter of 2022.
Segway-Ninebot GT Series
This new category ranks above the P-series by price, and is designed for riders looking for extreme experiences. They have 11-inch tires, taller suspension than any before them, and headlights up to 900 lumens to enable field use.
The speed indicators are integrated into the handlebars and the technology deployed in these models allows speeds of up to 70 km/h to be reached thanks to its double motor and the traction control system, with which the acceleration speed from 0 to 48 km/h increases significantly.
The new Segway-Ninebot GT1E and GT2 will hit the European market mid-year. Although we do not know their final price, know that the company even places them above the P series, with which they will be the most advanced of the firm.
Segway-Ninebot’s vision is to create “intelligent mobility” devices, some of which can be used to transport people, while others make it easier to transport objects. Currently, more than 7.7 million users are using these scooters in 180 countries.
