A few months ago, we already announced that a new stage had begun in iGamesNews. Now, we come to tell you about some of the changes that we have been introducing in recent weeks, as well as the improvements and additions that we have implemented on the page.
User accounts and tournaments renewed
As you may have noticed if you are active users of the page, these days two of the sections of our website have undergone changes: the user account and the tournaments. As to user accounts, now they look much more modern and adapted to current times (we are also working on giving this treatment to our forums, which we will do in the near future). As to the tournaments, now have numerous improvements, both aesthetic and functional. For example, now you can see a counter that will tell you when the tournament will start. Our intention is hold tournaments with prizes every month. In addition, just for participating you can also take the occasional gift, since we will also raffle things among the participants. The intention is to start collaborating with official entities in the field of eSports to carry out more ambitious tournaments for the near future.
If you are reading this at the time of its publication, you are in luck, since you still have time to participate in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament which will take place this afternoon at 18:00 (Spanish peninsular time). You can sign up here.
The birth of iGamesNews Question
Throughout these years we have interviewed all kinds of figures from the international video game scene. We have in mind to continue doing it, with several meetings already scheduled for throughout the year. However, we also wanted to launch a new format: iGamesNews Question.
The main focus of iGamesNews Question It will be to conduct interviews with prominent national and international figures: journalists, chefs, musicians, television presenters, book writers, among others. You can now see the first chapter with the journalist and writer Javier Perez Campos right here.
In addition to this, if everything goes as before, we can tell you what we have planned for May. an interview with one of the most important figures in the history of Nintendo… Soon you will find out who it is!
New editorial content: articles and offers
Although our main engine will always be News, we always try to diversify our content. If you have been attentive during this last month, you will have noticed that we have started publishing articles daily. Specifically, two entries are being published each day (on average) dealing with various topics related to current Nintendo by the editorial staff. Our intention is to continue with this editorial line and continue launching similar original content. You can take a look at the more than 50 published so far below.
In addition to the articles, we have introduced at the bottom of the page a offers section with all kinds of articles that might interest our readers. This, in addition to being another way of being able to maintain ourselves, supposes added value for users who want to discover new useful articles related to Nintendo and its world.
More improvements, 1,000 analyzes and more
After many months of work, this week we have reached the 1,000 reviews registered on Metacritic, a very outstanding figure of which we are proud. Following this path, we will continue to offer you analysis of all kinds of titleswhether more or less known, on the page.
With respect to our editorial line, we will continue working to improve it more and more. With daily original articles, offers, interviews, Heads or Tails, iGamesNews Ask, analysis, as well as news, our intention is to continue to prosper to reach, more and more, a higher level as medium specialized in Nintendo of reference at the Hispanic level.
Many thanks both to our team of editors and collaborators and to our dear readers for continuing to make iGamesNews a page that we can feel proud of. Be that as it may, what would you like to see next on the page? Do not hesitate to leave it in the comments!
