Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has already delighted us in recent years with new installments of the Yakuza saga, and one has really been better than the other. Although the departure of director Toshihiro Nagoshi has worried fans about the future of the saga, everything seems to be on track and the team responsible for the new editions have assured fans that they can hope for peace of mind.
Masayoshi Yokoyama, current study director, in an interview with Japanese media Denfaminico Gamer, confirmed that the team has been working very hard on several new projects lately. At the moment, according to the exec, he can only speak publicly about Yakuza 8, but there are plenty of other things brewing at RGG’s offices that will “surprise everyone.”

Already in November, Yokohama had mentioned other projects in which the study was involved. Will we then see a new Judgment, perhaps or a Yakuza: Like a Dragon 2? Hopefully, but either way, it will surely have the studio’s stamp of quality.
