Urban Venture: First trailer for the taxi tycoon
The simulator genre has been on the upswing for some time, particularly thanks to publishers like Playway. And what interesting games have we not already seen – from the pope simulator to the drug dealer simulator to the gas station owner simulator:
Gas Station Simulator
Test: Steam players are really into it, and so are we
But of course there are also much more down-to-earth simulators, such as the Farming simulator 22, the Bus Simulator or the Eurotruck Simulator. The developers of the newly announced one want to go in a similar direction soon Urban Venture beat, because here you can earn your money as an Uber driver and build your own taxi empire.
From taxi driver to Uber entrepreneur
Every beginning is difficult – this also applies to Urban Venture. Equipped with a cheap junk cart, you start your adventure and fight your way through odd job through.
You don’t just hire from existing taxi companies, you also deliver packages and food – to earn your first money and experience points, you just take on all the jobs that are currently available.
In the core of the game, however, is the transport of people: The passengers not only have special requests, such as particularly quick trips to the airport, but are also tough on you in other respects. For example, if your vehicle has a dirty interior, you can forget about a potential tip.

Luckily, you can always have your car cleaned and inspected at the nearest gas station and, if necessary, take it to the workshop afterwards. Not only are worn tires replaced there, but upgrades for better performance are also purchased.
Once you’ve earned enough money, you can set up your own taxi company: Instead of always zipping through the streets yourself, you simply hire your own drivers for your taxi fleet. Sounds easy at first, but problematic employees, company finances and other investment opportunities should also present successful entrepreneurs with one or the other challenge.
Barcelona als Open World
If you don’t feel like the everyday life of a taxi driver at all and still read on to this point, Urban Venture also offers one Free-Drive-Modus. Here you should be able to jet freely through the open world and collect hidden collectibles.
Incidentally, the setting is the Spanish metropolis of Barcelona, which the developers recreated on a one-to-one scale. After all, you should be able to explore 20 square kilometers of the city and discover over 200 sights such as well-known parks, buildings and sculptures. So if you’ve always wanted to visit the Catalan capital, you can now do so virtually – in a taxi.
There is no concrete release date for Urban Venture yet, at the earliest in fourth quarter of 2022 or in the first quarter of 2023 Should the game go into Early Access?
If you are now really keen on driving a taxi, you can try the classic Crazy Taxi again with his legendary soundtrack dig out. Or you try your luck on a GTA RP server:
