Gaming News The spin-off Yakuza: The Lost Judgment gets an expansion and a new playable character
On September 24, 2021, Lost Judgment, the second adventure of detective Takayuki Yagami was released. Today we learn that the hero of this new license will give his place to his sidekick for the period of a major renewal.
A new adventure divided into 4 chapters
If you’ve enjoyed walking the streets of Kamurocho and Isezaki Ijincho, two fictional Tokyo neighborhoods, alongside detective Takayuki Yagami, you’ll be happy to know the adventure isn’t over yet. As a matter of fact, In just a few days, on March 28th, Lost Judgment, the second installment of the Yakuza saga, will receive its first major expansion: The Kaito Files.
The latter, expected for March 28 and divided into 4 chapters, offers you to give up Takayuki Yagami to play a brand new playable character.
“Fist view” change
In fact, the great strength of The Kaito Files is that it offers players a brand new gameplay. Detective Yagami’s “thinness” is disregarded for the duration of this expansion as you take control of Masaharu Kaito, known as the “muscle” of the Yagami detective agency. In other words, Kaito’s character has a new way of playing as he uses his instincts and knowledge of the neighborhoods to solve an investigation – unlike Yagami, who regularly uses gadgets – and a new combat technique.
In this new adventure, set after the events of Lost Judgment, Kaito investigates his repressed past, tries to find his lost love and must work with a young man who could be his son.
Divided into four chapters and promising hours of fun, this new adventure will be available from March 28th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for $29.99. Note that this Lost Judgment expansion is included in the Season Pass but also in the Ultimate Edition of the game.
