With a huge game bundle on the indie platform itch.io, a total of $1 million for humanitarian charities be collected in Ukraine. In total, over 700 different developers responded to Necrosoft Games’ call and put a total of 572 games in the package that you buy now from $10 can.
Many of these titles have never been represented in a large bundle before – including real gems that would be worth the price on their own, such as the outstanding Celeste (GameStar rating: 90), the fantastic action role-playing game CrossCode (GameStar rating: 84) or the couch co-op fun Towerfall Ascension (GameStar rating: 80). Other titles are:
- Gonner (Dark Roguelike)
- Superhot (Bullet-Time-Shooter)
- Kingdom Two Crowns (Fantasy-Strategie)
- Bury Me, My Love (ergreifendes Adventure)
- Cloud Gardens (experimental nature sandbox)
- Sundered (Metroidvania im Lovecraft-Stil)
- Moon Hunters (Occult Buy RPG)
In order to reach the fundraising goal as quickly as possible, the initiators ask you to pay more than the minimum amount of ten dollars. All proceeds from the campaign go to two non-profit organizations:
- International Medical Corpsa humanitarian non-profit organization that provides medical care on the ground in the crisis area of Ukraine.
- Voices of Childrenwhich supports children to process the horrors of war and offers PTSD treatment and children’s shelters.
The promotion runs until March 17, 2022. At the time of writing this article, $564,000 in donations has been raised. On average, $15 was paid for the package, with the most generous donor even spending $1,500 for the almost 600 games.
