The Outer Worlds a private Publishing Class has been announced on Twitter Thursday that its Nintendo Switch port will be permanently delayed. The port is still developing through the Chinese Virtous Games team, which is closed next outbreak of coronavirus in China. More than 20,000 confirmed cases have been reported, up to thousands in the past days.
"We are delaying @OuterWorlds on Nintendo Switch due to a coronavirus affecting the Virtuos team working on the port, giving them enough time to complete the development," Private Category was taken via twitter. The Outer Worlds it was originally announced for its Nintendo switchch release on March 6. No new date has been announced. The Independent Division said it was working with Virtuous to get an "updated development timeline." The new launch time is expected "soon."
The publisher has also announced that it will release a virtual version of The Outer Worlds for Nintendo Switch.

Virtous was founded in 2004 in Shanghai – where the largest office is housed – but is now located in Switzerland. Other offices are located in Chengdu, Shanghai and Xian. In late January, the Chinese and Shanghai governments extended the Chinese New Year holidays to February 2 and February 9 respectively. China's New Year is a public holiday and offices are usually closed for some time – but holidays are extended and offices closed following the coronavirus outbreak. All three Chinese stations are expected to open on February 10, Virtous chief executive Gilles Langourieux said in a statement on Jan. 31. At the time, he said clients should expect "at least a week delay in service delivery." Langourieux also said that all employees were "well and well-calculated, with no signs of reported infection" – "partially offset by the restrictions imposed to reduce the spread of infection."
Virtous has played a role in development in games like this Dark Souls Returns, LA Noire, Heavy Rain, Batman: Back to Arkham, and the art of Exclusions 4 and Quantum Break. Its customers include activation, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Sony, and Square Enix, among others.
A new outbreak of coronavirus began in Wuhan, China late last year. Although this outbreak remains focused on Hubei province, where Wuhan is located, it is distributed to many countries, including the United States. On Jan. 30, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced a novel outbreak China is a global health emergency. There are more than 28,353 confirmed cases worldwide – most of them in China China – according to WHO. More than 500 people have been killed by the virus; all deaths, except one, occurred in China.
