Omnia claims it was willing to pay for the Xbox port itself

Claims, Omnia, Pay, port, Xbox

The relationship between the Japanese and the Xbox brand has always been a tug of war. Microsoft, at least until the arrival of Xbox One, where they were completely careless, always tried to make a special effort to reach its users, especially in the era of Xbox 360 where thanks to this we were able enjoy a high number of not only Japanese titles, but “exclusive” Japanese titles. One of them was the one that concerns us today: Phantom Breaker.

And coincidentally today, its sequel has been released worldwide, including – surprisingly – a version for Xbox One that we can already fully enjoy. What is curious in this case is that it seems that a Japanese dance of this caliber that we love so much seems to be the work and the grace of the efforts of its producer, Masaki Mori, who literally declare in an interview that he was happy to see Phantom Breaker: Omnia on the Xbox platform, where his first title was also released.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia brings another piece of Japanese gaming to Xbox

Obviously in 2022 we already have a huge number of titles available that for a few years didn’t even cross our minds that they would come to Xbox, like the Yakuza saga or, although today it seems almost absurd, Kingdom Hearts. But going back to Mr. Mori’s statements, it is especially significant that he asserts that he himself was ready to pay for the Xbox version.

Xbox 360 gamers are the first to purchase Phantom Breaker. That’s why I strongly insisted that we release the game (on Xbox). I even said, “If you want, I’ll pay myself.”

As we can also read in the interview article, it seems that, fortunately for Phantom Breaker: Omnia, Xbox has regained some popularity among Japanese gamers, with Xbox Series surpassing total Xbox One sales by only one year since its creation. For our part, we recommend the game if you like fighting titles, but especially if Japanese is in your preference.
