We bring again an interesting message related to one of the most outstanding games in the Nintendo Switch catalog. We are talking in this case about Stardew Valley.
In the text that we leave you below, we can learn about recent statements about the rights of the game. Remember that in 2019 the creator of the game, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone shared that he planned to self-publish in the future after the exploitation reported in Chucklefish. Now Chucklefish herself can confirm that Eric has full control of the Stardew brand after giving him the last rights.
These have been the statements of the company:
We originally signed our agreement with Eric for a period of two years, with a plan to transition publishing duties and responsibilities after launch. Today we handed over responsibility for Stardew Mobile, which was the final platform we acted as publishers for, and now ConcernedApe is ready to self-publish on all platforms.
We loved it and still love every minute of the experience. Our small team worked hard and we are very proud of our joint achievements with ConcernedApe: new languages, wiki development, multiplayer, console releases, physical and product releases, portable version… We wish the best to the ConcernedApe team and as fans , we look forward to your next project!
