Confessed, Hellblade 2, The Outer Worlds 2, State of Decay 3, Contraband. We can easily continue the list of titles we’ve already heard of or seen a trailer for. Some date back to our current consoles being announced, like the Ninja Theory title in 2018. So these games have been in production for several years and not a shadow of a release window on the horizon. At least until now, if we are to believe the latest explanations Jez Corden. In fact, the generally well-informed insider opened up about the releases of these games on the latest episode of The Xbox Two podcast. Most of them would be planned for the next year or even 2024.
Accompanied by his friend Rand Al Thor 19Jez answered a question in his chat about a listing of exit windows presented by Colteastwood, another insider personality. The two friends have thus confirmed a good part of the dates mentioned in the thirty-fourth minute of the podcast :
Rand al Thor: I agree with him about a Contraband release in 2023, the game was supposed to be out this year but got pushed back. Confession has to be next year. Do you agree Jez for Contraband?
Jez Corden: Yes, the documents said 2022.
State of Decay 3 and Project Mara for 2024?
The exchange continues for other titles such state of decay 3. Production has been quiet for the Undead Labs teams since a 2020 concept trailer. Phil Spencer recently named the game as his “Most Anticipated Title” on XboxEra’s mic. According to Corden, we could be in for a surprise, but he prefers to remain cautious and maintain his 2024 guidance. To justify this, he mentions The Outer Worlds 2 of which he has already seen gameplay, which is not the case with the first.
With reference to project Mara, one of Ninja Theory’s other two productions, he estimates it will arrive later Hellblade 2 in 2023. If these elements are to be believed, this remains for them starfield as the only known major title for the 2022 lineup. Barring a surprise, Microsoft would be big on Bethesda Game Studios production for the end of the year. We’ll see if the strategy pays off or not.
