Today, the undisputed king of football games is FIFA, but that hasn’t always been the case. A while ago, we saw a battle every year between EA’s simulator and its biggest rival, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer.
The Konami saga fell into a bit of ostracism, and the renaming to eFootball and its new free-to-play model didn’t work as expected. We don’t know if it was because of this failure or not, but the Japanese company has registered a new name for a soccer game: Pro Powerful Soccer.
Pro Powerful Soccer could be a mobile game
The record is from the European Trademarks (or EUTM), and the truth is that except for the name and it is from Konami, we can get a little more information about it. At the point where eFootball is now, the truth is that this new Pro Powerful Soccer could correspond to a more traditional football game far from the F2P model, or even a mobile game, as shown in Reset.
The registration appears to have yet to be approved, so we have to wait and see where the new Pro Powerful Soccer goes.
