The successful RPG epic The Outer Worlds is known to be released for the Switch in March, but the corona virus, which is currently on everyone's lips, is now putting an end to this plan.

The port of the sci-fi role-playing game is to be developed by the Chinese developer Virtuos, but it is known that the corona virus is currently spreading from there. As a result, Virtuos has been temporarily closed to counter the epidemic.
Publisher Private Division has therefore now via Twitter announced that the release of the switch implementation of The Outer Worlds will therefore be delayed. Since it is not foreseeable how long this closure will last, it was initially not possible to name a new release date and promised to speak out separately in this regard. Actually, the switch version should have been available from March 6, 2020.
We're delaying @OuterWorlds on Nintendo Switch due to the coronavirus impacting the Virtuos team working on the port, to provide them enough time to finish development. We’ll now be releasing the physical version on cartridge. Once we have a new launch date, we'll let you know!

Virtous was founded in 2004 in Shanghai and continues to have its largest branch there, but management can now be found in Singapore. The developer studio also has branches in Chengdu and Xi'an. The temporary coronavirus shutdown has been in effect in all three Chinese offices since January 31 and, according to last estimates, should continue until February 10. At the end of January, CEO Gilles Langourieux had already stressed that delays in delivery could at least be expected; now the postponement followed indefinitely.
In the same breath it was announced that The Outer Worlds will now also appear as a classic box version on cartridge.
