How to prevent Netflix from playing a trailer automatically

- Open Netflix from browser, you can't do it from your iPhone or TV app.
- Come in with your Netflix account.
- Click Manage profiles menu
- Select a profile of the user you want to edit.
- Check or unselect the option "Automatically make progress while browsing across devices".
- Click Save.
From here and you can manage the default playback of the episode when the previous one ends, all of these settings will be reserved for each user, not a standard Netflix account.
The company recently installed the service and reported that once it started the process may not be immediate, so "the adjustment change may take some time to take effect." As a hint they advise you that "you can force an update by changing to another profile and then returning your own".
