After the flop of Ghost Recon Breakpoint and The Division 2, which fell short of expectations, Ubisoft drew consequences a few months ago and noticeably postponed three well-known AAA titles with Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six: Quarantine and Watch_Dogs: Legion. Further planning is now being made clear in the current annual report.
Accordingly, Ubisoft plans to release five AAA titles in the new fiscal year, which will run from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. This certainly includes the three previously mentioned games that have been postponed. Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six: Quarantine and Watch_Dogs: Legion are to be released between September and December 2020, so just in time for the Christmas season.

It will be more interesting with regard to the two other AAA stocks, which will then appear in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, i.e. between January and March 2021. According to Ubisoft, these two games are part of the company's "biggest game brands". According to the usually well informed Kotaku-Journalists Jason Schreier refer to Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, which will each receive new offshoots. Also means: Fans of Splinter Cell will look into the tube again until further notice.
On the other hand, one thing is certain: Beyond Good & Evil 2 is not one of the five AAA titles of the next financial year, the confirmed CEO Yves Guillemot. The promising bearer of hope will not be published until April 2021 at the earliest, but a release until 2022 cannot be ruled out either.
The concrete plans for the new fiscal year from April this year are to be published as part of E3 2020 in June.
