Beat‘s latest ultimate skin reward – Izanami, Queen of Cards – comes to Xbox today with a mix of misdirection and panache.
This is no ordinary skin – we call it a “Tier 5” skin that represents the pinnacle of Beat skin design and serves as the final reward for our new Heavenly Light event. Queen of Cards Izanami has four unique forms, each inspired by a card sequence and corresponding tarot symbology, making it a stacked deck. When Izanami uses her Fade Away ability, this stunning skin transitions between her four forms, each of which is functionally an entirely separate skin. In addition, the Queen of Cards possesses a special bonus: an emote that evolves as you complete quests built into the skin, unique to each of the suits she can take on. Each time you get a kill or assist while playing Izanami, draw four cards; If all four match, an upgraded emote will be permanently unlocked for their current form.
As you play through the Heavenly Light event, join Mulan and Sun Wukong as they investigate mysterious spirits in China – and you’ll get some amazing skins. The Heavenly Light Event consists of four chapters, each with its own free bonus skin like Funny Bones Baron Samedi. Collect all rewards in one chapter to get each free bonus skin, and collect all rewards in all four chapters to unlock Queen of Cards Izanami. Don’t want to wait? You can instantly unlock the Izanami Queen of Cards skin and pre-order any future skins of the event with the Buy All button.

That’s not all we have for this next update: a swarm of tiny robots are taking to the battlefields with the Chibi Bots Battle Pass! So get out there and defeat your enemies in one cute and compact pack as Doom Bot Hades, Freezy Bot Ymir, Beaky Bot Thoth and Intruder Bot Cupid and unleash the little fury of these Chibi Bots! As usual, all four of these skins will be available as you progress through the Battle Pass, and we can’t wait to see these tiny horrors on the battlefield.
Last but not least, we’re excited to give the community a long-awaited update: Expanded Custom Game Options, allowing you to play all sorts of fun new modes with your friends! When creating custom games, there is now a set of pre-saved default settings that serve as a starting point for the more common game modes, alongside more competitive rule sets such as Competitive Conquest for Beat Pro League and Scrims as well as the ranked format. You can then customize each preset with a plethora of new fun options such as: B. mana cost adjustment, cooldown reduction and more. We can’t wait to see how you use all of these options to design fun new custom gaming experiences.
With that, I hope everyone shuffles back onto the battlefield soon, and by all means practice your card counting or the Queen of Cards will just catch you off guard.
