One of the big doubts users have when changing monitors is which resolution to choose and the refresh rate. Currently we have the 1080p, 1440p resolutions (bad call 2K) and 2160p (bad 4K call). Add to that refresh rates, response times and color. The survey gives us an idea of user preferences on a general level.
1440p screen resolution is most popular among gamers
The German media 3DCenter has published the results of its survey of resolutions among its readers. The average indicates that 49.8% of readers of this medium have screens with resolutions of 2560×1440, 2560×1600 or 3440×1440. It seems that 1440p resolution has become the most popular among video game fans.
An interesting fact is that 1.1% of users have a screen with a resolution of 1680×1050 or less. 25.6% of users use monitors with a resolution of 1920×1080 or 1920×1200. Finally, 23.5% of users use monitors with a resolution of 3840×2160.
